We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to perform excavation, loading, and material transportation tasks in a variety of heavy construction operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating backhoes with breakers, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict safety standards. This role is critical in ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.

Core Responsibilities

 1.      Excavation and Material Handling

  • Operate a backhoe to excavate, load, and transport materials in various heavy construction operations.
  • Handle breakers with precision during demolition and breaking tasks.
  • Operate additional construction equipment as required by project needs.

 2.      Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Consistently monitor the worksite to identify and address potential hazards.

3.      Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform daily maintenance on the backhoe, including lubrication and inspections.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and safe for use.

 4.      Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the crew to accomplish project goals, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication.
  • Train and mentor other workers on equipment operation, safety protocols, and construction processes.
  • Assist with general labor tasks as needed, supporting the crew and ensuring site readiness.

 Other Responsibilities

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the operations department and the organization.

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or Short Course Certificate.
  • NC II Certification from TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority).
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Backhoe Operator or in a related field.
  • Proficient in operating backhoes with breakers.
  • Strong hand-eye-foot coordination and mechanical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of extended operation and site work.
  • Valid local driver’s license.
  • Willing to stay on-site as required by the project.
  • Must provide Police and NBI Clearance.
