We are seeking different skilled workers to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess great technical skills in any of the various trades including masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more. This position requires someone who can apply their skills to perform high-quality work in construction in multiple environments.
Possible Skills:
- Masonry Tasks:
- Perform tasks such as CHB laying, concrete mixing, and plastering.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades at construction sites.
- Carpentry and Woodworking:
- Execute basic carpentry and furniture carpentry tasks.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and plywood.
- Electrical Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Plumbing and Pipefitting:
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.
- Painting and Decorating:
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and additional finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Welding and Metal Fabrication:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
- Tiling:
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
- Roofing:
- Cover roofs with shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, and related materials.
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration:
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Drywall Installation:
- Measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels. Prepare panels for painting by taping and finishing joints.
- Landscaping:
- Perform landscaping and grounds keeping tasks, plant trees, mow lawns, trim bushes, and plant gardens.
- Flooring Installation:
- Measure, cut, and install various flooring materials.
- Heavy Equipment Operation:
- Operate several types of power construction equipment, such as excavators, forklifts, and loaders.
- General Construction Skills:
- Perform staking, take measurements, and read plans and blueprints to ensure accurate construction.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, properly use personal protective gear, and report any issues to the safety coordinator.
Certifications:
- Holding any of the following certifications will be considered a significant advantage:
- Masonry: TESDA NC II in Masonry
- Scaffolding & Formworks: TESDA NC II in Scaffolding Erection
- Carpentry: TESDA NC II in Carpentry, NC II in Furniture Making (Wood)
- Electrical: TESDA NC II in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, NC II in Building Wiring Installation
- Plumbing: TESDA NC II in Plumbing, NC II in Pipefitting
- Painting: TESDA NC II in Painting and Decorating
- Welding and Metal Fabrication: TESDA NC II in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), NC II in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), NC II in Metal Fabrication
- Steel Works: TESDA NC II in Reinforcing Steel Works, NC II for Structural Steel Erection
- Tiling: TESDA NC II in Tile Setting
- Air Conditioning: TESDA NC II in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
- Drywall Installation: TESDA NC II in Interior Systems Installation
- Landscaping: TESDA NC II in Landscaping
- Flooring: TESDA NC II in Finishing and Flooring Installation
- Mechanics: TESDA NC II in Automotive Servicing
- Heavy Equipment Operation:
- TESDA NC II in Heavy Equipment Operation (Backhoe Loader, Bulldozer, Excavator, Forklift, Wheel Loader, Grader, Transit Mixer)
- Instrumentation and Control: TESDA NC II in Instrumentation and Control Servicing
- Safety Certifications: Certifications in First Aid, Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH), Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)
- Additional Relevant Certifications:
- TESDA NC III certifications in fields where higher competence can be demonstrated (e.g., Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC III, Automotive Servicing NC III, etc.)
- Professional licenses (e.g., Master Electrician, Master Plumber) if applicable
- Other certifications that demonstrate specialized skills and knowledge applicable to advanced construction trades
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in one or more of the above construction disciplines.
- TESDA NC II or higher certifications in relevant trades (e.g., Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Welding, Heavy Equipment Operation).
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy weights.
- Strong understanding of construction and their relevant field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
