The Virtual Assistant – Video Tutorial Creator is responsible for producing high-quality screencast video tutorials to train employees on various company processes and software applications. These tutorials will serve as step-by-step guides for internal use, ensuring that all staff can efficiently navigate and utilize tools such as Microsoft Teams, Odoo, Excel templates, and other internal systems.

This role does not require prior knowledge of these specific software programs but having experience with them is a plus. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in creating video tutorials, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of presenting information in a structured and engaging manner.

Core Responsibilities

1. Video Content Creation

  • Plan and create step-by-step screencast video tutorials covering company processes and software usage.
  • Record and edit high-quality video walkthroughs with clear instructions.
  • Ensure content is engaging, easy to understand, and well-structured for learners at different skill levels.
  • Add on-screen text, highlights, and callouts to emphasize key points.

2. Training & Documentation

  • Develop clear video scripts and outlines before recording.
  • Organize videos into logical training modules.
  • Ensure each tutorial aligns with company workflows and best practices.
  • Update and improve existing training materials as needed.

3. Collaboration & Feedback

  • Work closely with department heads to understand training needs and priorities.
  • Gather feedback from staff to improve training effectiveness.
  • Adjust tutorials based on new software updates or process changes.

4. File Management & Distribution

  • Organize and maintain a library of video tutorials for easy staff access.
  • Ensure all content is properly labeled, categorized, and stored in the company's training repository.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creating screencast tutorial videos (portfolio required).
  • Clear, professional voice for voiceovers, with good pronunciation and pacing.
  • Strong presentation and instructional skills.
  • Ability to explain complex processes in a simple and clear manner.
  • Experience with video recording tools like Loom, Camtasia, OBS Studio, or similar software.
  • Basic video editing skills (e.g., trimming, adding annotations, voiceovers).
  • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT to assist in scriptwriting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Odoo, and Excel is a plus but not required.
